VCT Masters London 2026 Preview: Teams, Format, and Storylines
Valorant Masters London 2026 is the season's first international showdown, and it lands in the United Kingdom for the first time. From June 6 to June 21, twelve teams from four regions will fight for $1,000,000, eight VCT points for the winner, and the right to claim the Stage 2 trophy at the Copper Box Arena in Hackney Wick.
This is the first Masters of the 2026 cycle and the first real read on the global pecking order before Champions Shanghai. Here is the field, the format, and the storylines worth your time.
Key storylines
Stage 2 of VCT is when the season really opens up. Two regions are in the middle of generational rebuilds, two are deep into dynastic eras, and every team in London has already proven it can win an international map. A few threads to keep an eye on:
- G2 Esports as the team to beat. G2 ended Stage 1 of VCT Americas at the top of the table and earned a direct bye into Playoffs. With a roster that has been together since the start of the franchising era, G2 arrives in London as the most experienced unit in the bracket.
- Heretics and Vitality fly the EMEA flag. Both teams have had multiple deep Masters runs. Heretics gets the playoff seed and a week to scout. Vitality and FUT Esports have to go through Swiss to earn their spot.
- Paper Rex are still Paper Rex. No team has been more consistent on the international stage over the last three years. Paper Rex skips Swiss again and arrives in London with the chip on the shoulder of a team that has not yet won a Masters.
- EDward Gaming's quiet dominance. EDG is the reigning Champions winner from the back end of 2025 and they keep showing up. They get a direct Playoffs slot and a week of prep for whichever Swiss survivor draws them.
- Three Chinese teams. For the first time, the China region sends a full three-team contingent to a Masters. Xi Lai Gaming and Dragon Ranger Gaming both made the trip; how they perform will reshape the global view of the league.
Teams and rosters
Twelve teams are headed to London, three from each of the four VCT regions. The 1st-seed team from each region (G2, Heretics, Paper Rex, EDward Gaming) goes straight to Playoffs. The eight other teams play Swiss.

Full schedule
VCT Masters London 2026 is split into two halves:
- Swiss stage: Saturday, June 6 to Wednesday, June 10. Eight teams play a 3-0 / 0-3 Swiss bracket. The top four advance to the Playoffs.
- Playoffs: Friday, June 12 onward, at the Copper Box Arena. Eight teams (four from Swiss, four directly seeded) play a double-elimination bracket. Grand final is on Sunday, June 21.
Opening rounds and elimination matches are BO3. The grand final is BO5. The full match list, with local kickoff times in your zone, is on the Masters London tournament page.
Predictions
A few honest reads, with the caveat that this is the first international event of the season and rosters have been scrimming behind closed doors for weeks.
- Favorites: G2 Esports, Paper Rex, EDward Gaming. All three are top-three teams in the world by trailing 12 months and all three skip Swiss.
- Sleepers: Team Vitality and Leviatán. Both teams finished their regional Stage 1 strong without locking in the bye, which can be a sign of a team peaking at the right time.
- Wildcards: Xi Lai Gaming and FULL SENSE. The first time we get a real read on either team this year.
- Storyline you didn't know you wanted: Global Esports back at a Masters after a quiet two seasons. The roster has been quietly rebuilding around its support core and London is the test.
If you want to lock in your bracket, the Masters London pick'em is open from now until the first match.
